This initiative is led by Gonzalo Gonzalez with a broad knowledge about our birds and its ecosystems. Who has several publications that gathers his countless efforts in studying the species that inhabit our territory, among which is the recently released guidebook "Aves de Chile, Guía de Campo y Breve Historia Natural" (2017) and the Helm Field Guide to the Birds of Chile (2021).

Birding Director
Gonzalo is our Birding Director. He has been birding since he was 13, and is also coauthor in few books about birds and wildlife, standing out Aves de Chile. Guia de Campo y Breve Historia Natural ( Birds of Chile. Field Guide and Brief Natural History), a very complete Chilean birds field guide, including a short natural history of each species, published in 2017. Gonzalo has been guiding for more than 15 years and also is a photographer, with pictures published in Chilean, Argentinian, USA and European books (Handbook of the Birds of the World; Woodpeckers of the World; etc.). He has worked in environmental consulting, mainly in the extreme north of Chile and has published some papers about Chilean birds. He has university training as Agricultural Engineer, with specialization in Agrarian Economy.
Juan Ignacio Zúñiga

Our Travel Planner Director has an extensive experience in planning and operation of tourist programs in Chile and abroad, in addition to a career as a marketing consultant for numerous companies in the tourism industry. Juan Ignacio has worked with major companies such as Latitud 90, Condor Travel, Agunsa, Wildlife Conservation Society and teaching as an assistant professor in DuocUC Foundation. His knowledge about the various tourist destinations make him a reliable ally to discover the corners of our country.
